According to Pythagoras rhythm, vibration, and harmony are the source of mathematics and not the reverse like many think. By studying the musical laws of Pythagoras we can hear in the harmonic points of a vibrating string the revelation of a mathematic system which is intuitive, subjective and exact.
In Point Zero, these two artists explore in this manner the Universal vibratory principals that are the pure essence of the music of all cultures and of all times, utilizing a pythagorean harp designed by the same percussionist, Jim Doney.
Recorded in Live Act, in the same way as the previous recordings of Nacho Maldonado, he reinforces his potential and conviction of instantaneous composition, with the emphasis always on the present moment.
Using simple instrumentation, and evocative melodies, while drawing from the union of universal harmony and sacred geometry, this work is a refreshing and original proposal.
This music has been developed in order to create a balance in our intuitive and rational faculties.
